Holistic or Spiritual?
At Amitola I am often referred to as ‘the Crystal Lady’ or the ‘Spiritual Lady’.
I often identify with myself as ‘holistic’ more so than ‘spiritual’, although I believe I am certainly a blend of both.
The interpretation of holistic for me encompasses our individual self as a ‘whole’. Embodying our body, mind, soul and spirit.
Holistic for me allows us to become more present within ourselves, to embrace being human and to take responsibility for all that encompasses us. In my own personal interpretation the word Holistic holds less expectations to the word Spiritual. If we say we are Holistic .. we believe we are whole and own our ‘self’.
Identifying as spiritual sometimes brings expectation upon ourselves. We can become so focused on being spiritual that we forget to have human experiences too.
I also totally resonate to being Spiritual.
Having a sense of ‘otherness’ something beyond the ordinary, believing in a higher realm, lifetimes and honouring that universally we are all connected. Being Spiritual to me is connection with my higher self.
At Amitola I tend to blend the two .. being both Holistic and Spiritual to compliment balance.
